Chrome Super Sync Sports: Google Uses Your Mobile As a Second Screen


The Google Creative Lab and some partners created this interesting sports game that connects your mobile device to your computer. Your mobile becomes the controller for your athlete in the running.swimming and biking mini-games. You can choose between 50 cartoon athlete and even race against up to three friends.

Super Sync Sports uses the latest browser technologies like Canvas, CSS3, HTML5 audio, SVG, the Touch API (for your mobile touch screen) and WebSockets to sync your devices.



All you have to do is swipe the pattern on the screen to run and even though it's simple, it a good start for what's to come in the future. I always felt that smartphones were awesome but why limit yourself to 5" or less of real estate in terms of screen size?

I could imagine games like Call of Duty or Gears of War where your radar would be on your controller instead of the TV or computer screen to make the experience that much more realistic.
