Mega Cheap, Mega Bus: Toronto-Montreal Round-Trip

I don’t want to make this seem like an advertorial but MEGA Bus seems like a pretty good deal. I mean, $42 tax in for a round trip to Toronto is cheaper than the gas ($100) it would take to drive there.

There are 10 daily departures (prices start at 35$ roundtrip, tax incl, and go up for “better” time slots).  I wrote this post I was in a comfy seat with no one beside me and had a table for my laptop with free wifi. Note that I did have to have the laptop on my lap as the vibrations on the bus make the hard drive unhappy. Despite the inconvenience of having to get to the bus stop (airports are farther but I am comparing this to driving) I can do stuff like blogging and watching videos on my laptop. Good deal, which will lead me to my post about hidden gems in Toronto.

The company operates in the US, Canada and the UK and is owned by Coach so it's legit. If anyone knows of a  cheaper way to travel, I'd be glad to hear about it.

  1. Wow this sounds cool. Not only you will be able to relax while someone else drives for you, the wifi is also a great addition to this bus ride. It is always nice to hear about these cheap travel deals.
