Serena Williams defeats Agnieszka Radwanska to Win 5th Wimbledon Title

Serena cruised through the first set 6-1 and then lost an error-filled second set, 5-7 and rebounded to win the third 6-2 to win the 2012 Wimbledon final. It was no surprise given Serena's dominance in the game when she isn't out due to some weird injury (stepping on broken glass?!?). Radwanska apparently had an "upper respiratory illness" which is really bad luck given her fierce opponent and career-making opportunity.

Serena almost competes in the Wimbledon Ladies' final with her sister Venus. It must be of of the greatest feelings in the world to win both the singles and doubles title at a Grand Slam, which Serena accomplished six times already (Australian: 2003, 2009, 2010, Wimbledon: 2002, 2009, US Open: 1999). Too bad not many male players play both singles and doubles but then again, best-of-5 set matches are twice as long or even longer than the best-of-3 sets that the females play.

I always thought that Serena could break the record for most Grand Slam titles and she could if she really wanted to, meaning she would have to party less and focus more on her tennis. She's been playing half a season for a lot of years and skipping a lot of tournaments. It's funny because her popularity has made her so famous outside of tennis and when you look at her Facebook page, there is hardly anything tennis related. Maybe Serena just wants to have more fun now.
